Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 21, 2026

KickVote ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use the KickVote mobile application and website (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information
When you sign in with Google or Apple via Firebase Authentication, we receive your display name, email address, and profile photo URL. We store these on our servers to identify your account and personalise your experience.

Activity Data
We collect records of every action you take on the Service: votes cast (Daily Votes and Versus Votes), KickCoin transactions (credits and debits), subscription purchases, Versus Requests submitted, badges earned, leaderboard positions, and push notification interactions.

Device & Technical Data
We automatically collect device identifiers, operating system and version, app version, IP address, and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens for push notification delivery. We also record a hashed device fingerprint used solely for anti-cheat and multi-account detection.

Purchase Data
In-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google. KickVote receives purchase receipts and event notifications from RevenueCat (our purchase management provider) to credit your account with KickCoins or activate your subscription. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account and wallet
  • To process your votes and maintain live leaderboards
  • To credit KickCoins, activate subscriptions, and distribute rewards
  • To send push notifications about Versus results, winner announcements, badge grants, and platform updates
  • To detect and prevent cheating, fraud, and abuse (including bot voting and multi-account manipulation)
  • To respond to your support requests and account deletion applications
  • To generate anonymised, aggregated analytics that help us improve the Service
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations

3. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

  • Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) — handles sign-in with Google and Apple. Firebase receives your sign-in credentials and returns a verified identity token to KickVote.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google LLC) — delivers push notifications to your device using your FCM token.
  • RevenueCat — manages in-app purchase receipts and subscription lifecycle events. RevenueCat transmits purchase data to KickVote via secure webhooks.
  • Apple App Store & Google Play — process all payments. KickVote never receives your credit card or payment account details.
  • Sportmonks — provides football data (teams, players, leagues). We sync this data to our servers; no personal user data is shared with Sportmonks.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.

4. Push Notifications

If you grant notification permission, KickVote will send push alerts to your device for events such as Versus results, winner announcements, badge grants, and broadcast messages from our team. You can withdraw notification permission at any time through your device's system settings. Revoking permission does not delete your account or affect your in-app notification inbox.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted HTTPS transmission, server-side access controls, and hashed storage of sensitive identifiers. Authentication is delegated to Firebase, so your sign-in credentials are never stored on KickVote servers.

While we take all reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your Google or Apple account.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the Service. Voting logs, coin transactions, and purchase receipts may be retained for a longer period where required by applicable law or for fraud-prevention purposes, even after your account is deleted.

Anonymised and aggregated analytics data (containing no personally identifiable information) may be retained indefinitely to improve the Service.

7. Your Rights & Account Deletion

Depending on your country of residence, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:

  • The right to access the personal data we hold about you
  • The right to request correction of inaccurate data
  • The right to request deletion of your account and associated data
  • The right to object to or restrict certain processing
  • The right to data portability

To exercise any of these rights, or to request account deletion, please use our Account Deletion Page. Deletion requests are reviewed by our admin team. Once approved, your profile, wallet, badges, and vote history will be permanently erased. Financial records required for legal or fraud-prevention purposes may be retained in anonymised form.

8. Children's Privacy

KickVote is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will promptly delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used our Service without your consent, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and notify you through the app where appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after any changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.

10. Contact Us

If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or the way we handle your data, please reach out to us through our official Discord server or via the in-app support channel.
